Thermostats and automation

A convector with a fan is a system: the thermostat controls the speed and the valves, and the power supply converts the 230 V mains to a safe 24 V DC for the fans.

In brief: the digital Carrera PF thermostat (WPF — with Wi-Fi) controls the fans and the valve servos in the 10–30 °C range with 0.5 °C accuracy. Power supplies — 36, 60, 75, 120 or 240 W; one unit can feed several convectors if its power is enough for the total fan consumption.

Thermostatic elements

Thermostatic sensors give automated temperature control without electronics — for natural convection. In wall-mounted WR the thermostatic element comes included.

Questions and answers

Which thermostat for a convector with a fan?

The digital Carrera PF or WPF (with Wi-Fi): touch, 10–30 °C in 0.5 steps, controls both the fan speed and the valve servos. For a smart home there is RS485/Modbus.

How many convectors does one power supply feed?

As many as its power (36–240 W) covers relative to the total fan consumption. We make the calculation when selecting the system.
